Updating product details in bulk is a quick and easy function which allows you to update a number of product details at once instead of going through them one by one.

With this, you can update the products Name, Quantity, Threshold, Prices, Brand, Category, Barcodes, HSN, Weights, and Tags.

Note: Only updates in product quantity and price will be pushed to the respective channels.

Orderhive allows to update inventory in 2 ways - one is to directly update the inventory in the warehouses, the other way is to update the inventory on the locations managed within a warehouse (this is useful for people managing location, batch and cost for the inventory stored in the warehouses).

  1. Quick Bulk Update in Warehouses
  • Go to Products
  • Click on Import > Update Stock
  • In order to update any field, you need to first export the products
  • Select the option Only Warehouse and then export the products by clicking on Export Stock in Warehouses from here.
  • Once you click on Export, the excel file will be ready to download in a few seconds. You will receive a notification like this once it is ready to be downloaded.
  • Enter the updated values in the exported file
  • Once the required fields have been updated in the file, import it again into Orderhive so that the updated details can be reflected onto the products. You can either browse the file from your system or Drag & Drop the file to import it.
  • Once the file is attached, click on Import.
  • Once you click on IMPORT, you will be notified in a few minutes about the completion of import, depending on the number of products. If at all there is an error in updating the products, you can download the log file from the Notifications section to identify the errors.

2. Update Stock on Locations in Warehouses:

With this option you can update the stock present on various locations in the warehouses. It allows you to update the stock present on every location and the batch within it. You can update the stock on the existing location and batch or assign new locations and batches to the products as well.

  • Click on Import > Update Stock
  • Select the option Batch, Location or Cost and then export the products by clicking on Export stock in batch, location or cost from here.
  • Once you click on Export, the excel file will be ready to download in a few seconds. You will receive a notification like this once it is ready to be downloaded.
  • Enter the updated values in the exported file
  • In the file you can add the stock on existing locations and batches. It is also possible to create new locations, batch or cost in the sheet and they will be assigned to the products once the sheet is imported.
  • The Default column in the sheet states the default location for every warehouse.
  • To import the file, you can either browse the file from your system or Drag & Drop the file to import it.
  • Once the file is attached, click on Import.
  • Once you click on IMPORT, you will be notified in a few minutes about the completion of import, depending on the number of products. If at all there is an error in updating the products, you can download the log file from the Notifications section to identify the errors.
