Serialization in Sales Orders

Serialization is mainly used to track every single unit of the products. The serial number is assigned to each unit on the inventory to track during its lifecycle. It must be unique and also helps to manage inventory by serial numbers.

Cin7 Orderhive allows adding a particular product with a specific serial number, and once the order is shipped, that particular serial number is removed from the product. In order to add serial numbers to the products, you can refer to the article - Serialization in products

Managing Serial Numbers in an order:

• Go to the Orders page and open a confirm order.
• Click on Ship
  
• On the next page you’ll get an option to Add Serial Number
  
• Click on that option and add the serial number
  
• Once you ship and deliver the order for that product, the serial numbers will be removed from the products section.
